About A Mom and Her Maker

Hey Mama! Welcome!

I’m a single mom who has persevered through a lot, and I’ve come to realize that my dependence on the Lord isn’t just important — it’s necessary. I give a whole new meaning to “the Lord is my strength,” because truly, He is. I’ve discovered that He is always with me, even when it doesn’t feel like it, and He is always with you too!

Once, during a time of reflection, I had an “aha” moment, as they call it. The Lord demonstrates His great love and compassion for widows by commanding in Scripture that they be cared for. The Hebrew word for widow, almanah, doesn’t just mean a woman whose husband has died, but one who is financially vulnerable and in need of protection and care. And while I’m no Bible scholar, I believe that includes women like us, too — the single mothers. The Lord cares deeply for us – He sees, He provides, and He remains faithful.

Here, I share honest reflections on what the Lord has taught me, encouragement to keep moving forward, reminders of His grace, and tips to keep our minds and bodies healthy as we walk through single motherhood together. You’ll even find a few yummy recipes and bits of everyday fun.

I hope that together we can build a community of support, faith, and care for one another – because we were never meant to do this alone.
